DrUBER Project Overview
The DrUBER project aims to revolutionise emergency medical services in Essex County by leveraging drone technology for rapid healthcare response. This project, a collaboration between Airborne Robotics (AR), Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), and NHS Trust in East of England that is funded by UKIR SBRI, seeks to connect medical institutions -including hospitals, pharmacies, general practitioners, and medical laboratories - with patients in urgent need through a network of drones operated through a ride-hailing concept. Drones will facilitate the swift transportation of critical medical supplies, bypassing traditional transportation methods to reduce response times, especially during rush hours and enhance patient outcomes significantly.
